Welcome to the Budapest Cool School  website. I hope that you will find all of the information you require here.

BCS  is one of Hungary's leading regional schools.  We are a co-educational liberal school with an enrolment of just over 500 students.  Together with an excellent teaching staff  and a developed curriculum, we hope to provide for all the learning needs of students from across the country. 

The School's philosophy is one of encouraging students to learn for life within a supportive environment.  There are opportunities for students to participate in a wide variety of activities and it is rare that there is nothing in the School that causes violence among pupils.

As students are encouraged to try to go outside their comfort zone, their peers and teachers recognise that they are 'having a go' and so encourage and empathise with them. We celebrate success and strive to do our best but we do not lose sight of participation for its own sake.

We have a dedicated staff that is prepared to help and guide the students, whatever their ability. We make no apology for the strong academic focus and we are proud of our students and staff and the VCE results they achieve.  There is also a strong pastoral emphasis and a recognition of the need to cater for each student's spiritual growth and their understanding of the need for compassion in their dealings with others.  The School has a strong community service program and, in general, the students determine which activities they wish to support.
